Excellera, a leading corporate affairs advisory firm in EMEA, announces that Ad Hoc – Communication Advisors is joining the Group, further consolidating its market positioning. The transaction is part of the growth strategy supported by ICG, one of the world’s leading alternative asset managers, confirming the strength of the platform and its ability to attract outstanding professionals.
Ad Hoc is an Italian strategic advisory firm that has been active in corporate and financial communication for 30 years, led by its founding partners Mario Pellegatta and Giorgio Zambeletti. The firm stands out for its highly qualified advisory approach and for a team of professionals with solid experience in supporting public and private clients on complex projects.
With this transaction, Excellera continues to consolidate its leadership in corporate affairs — bringing total revenues to €73 million and exceeding 400 employees and collaborators, with a presence across 15 offices worldwide — and strengthens an increasingly integrated service model, combining corporate and financial communication, public affairs, and data intelligence.
Mario Pellegatta and Giorgio Zambeletti will continue in their operational and strategic roles within the company. The Board of Directors will be composed of Tullio Pirovano, Giorgio Zambeletti and Roberto Patriarca, who will serve as CEO.
Paolo Zanetto, CEO of Excellera Advisory Group, commented: “We are delighted to welcome Ad Hoc’s professionals to our Group. In just over three years, Excellera has established itself as a reference point in corporate affairs, capable of attracting outstanding talent. This transaction confirms our ability to be a solid and attractive platform for the best professionals in the sector, committed to building an increasingly integrated and AI-enabled model. Our goal is to further strengthen our role as a trusted partner for CEOs and boards, consolidating our presence in EMEA and accelerating the evolution of our model.”
Mario Pellegatta and Giorgio Zambeletti, founding partners of Ad Hoc, added: “The partnership consolidated by Ad Hoc joining the Excellera Group represents a virtuous example of professional value creation that will benefit our clients and our consultants. The agreement respects and safeguards Ad Hoc’s corporate and organizational identity, while enabling the full integration of experience and expertise. We are pleased to have secured in this way the best conditions for the future success of our professional community.”
