EXCELLERA ACQUIRES INTWIG AND ENTERS ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND DATA SCIENCE SERVICES

INTWIG, a data intelligence company founded by Aldo Cristadoro, employing 11 people and headquartered in Bergamo, joins Excellera Advisory Group, Italys leading corporate affairs advisory group. Founded in November 2022, through the partnership between Cattaneo Zanetto Pomposo & Co. and Community with the support of Xenon Private Equity, over the past year Excellera was joined by both Public Affairs Advisors, Value Relations and Barabino & Partners.

Established ten years ago as the brainchild of Aldo Cristadoro, a big data and research methodology expert, INTWIG helps companies develop data-driven strategies through data science, scenario analysis and data visualisation services, also supported by the latest Artificial Intelligence technologies.

INTWIGs entry into Excellera marks a clear step forward for the Group, which is thus bringing in new expertise related to innovation and artificial intelligence. Indeed, INTWIGs know-how and that of all its professionals will allow the Group to develop new tools and concepts in reputation management and government affairs, using data analysis and exploitation to provide clients with increasingly comprehensive and technologically advanced services. Data and analysis will guide communication strategies, in order to customise them on a tangible and measurable basis, and will be a tool for public affairs activities.

Gianfranco Piras, President of Excellera Advisory Group and Partner of Xenon Private Equity, said: We set up Excellera with a very clear goal: to bring together the best companies in the communication and public affairs sectors to make an outstanding Group that could turn synergies into its strength. Today, thanks to deals that have led the company to reach a turnover of around EUR60 million, to employ around 300 people, we are at the very top of the sector in Italy and among the best in Europe. We have taken a further step in our growth path with INTWIG: thanks to technology, we are driving the Group to be even more ahead of the game in international markets.

Paolo Zanetto, CEO of Excellera Advisory Group and Partner of Cattaneo Zanetto Pomposo & Co., added: We are delighted and proud to welcome INTWIG and its founder Aldo Cristadoro: in a context such as our own, where artificial intelligence is changing the rules of the game, we wished for Excellera to be, yet again, a pioneer in theindustry. People and skills continue to be the Groups core element, the most important asset we have and which we want to further enhance in order to provide our customers with the highest level of advisory services. Excellera seeks to be an aggregator of talent, a home for the best-in-class professionals who will now be able to further develop their skills, thanks to dedicated innovation and new expertise routes.

Aldo Cristadoro, CEO and Founder of INTWIG, said: To join such a distinguished group is a great source of pride for us and a fascinating challenge to further grow. We believe that the ongoing tech revolution is revolutiuonising not only the world of corporate affairs but also all business processes, in a broad and cross way. Being able to fully exploit the full potential of data and information can be a distinctive element for a company to better position itself to compete on the international scene. This is exactly why we have joined the Excellera project: to launch innovative, data-driven and AI-based strategic advisory products together.

On a corporate level, the deal will result in the acquisition of 100% of INTWIGs shares by Excellera Advisory Group. At the same time, Aldo Cristadoro, who maintains his role as CEO of INTWIG, will reinvest in Excellera, thus becoming a shareholder in the Group.

INTWIG was advised by KPMG and legal firm CMA Caffi Maroncelli e Associati, with Attorneys Emanuele Cortesi and Matteo Ghilardi.
