Excellera Advisory Group, Italy’s leading corporate affairs advisory group, is announcing today the release of its very first Sustainability Report for 2024: a voluntary initiative reflecting the joint commitment of the Group’s companies – Barabino & Partners, Cattaneo Zanetto Pomposo & Co., Community, Excellera Intelligence, Public Affairs Advisors, Value Relations, and IP Excellera (which joined in 2025) – to transparently share their efforts on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues.
With rapid yet conscious growth, Excellera has consolidated its structure in just a few years, bringing together autonomous companies with different areas of expertise into an advisory model that combines communication, public affairs, and data intelligence. The report mirrors the synergy between the different firms: many of them already had strong ESG awareness – Barabino & Partners and Community have been “Società Benefit” since 2022, and Cattaneo Zanetto Pomposo & Co. obtained Gender Equality Certification in 2024 – and the combined report shows how these efforts are now part of a larger project encompassing all Group companies.
The report focuses on the material issues identified through an internal materiality analysis: governance and compliance, human capital, environment, and community engagement. The report was drafted according to international GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) standards, ensuring clarity, comparability, and transparency.
Human capital is a major focus for Excellera: the Group is constantly tracking data on turnover, role breakdown, seniority, and generational diversity, with 66% of its workforce being women. In 2024, over 4,000 hours of training were delivered, through specific initiatives by individual companies and the Group’s commitment to promoting knowledge and skills sharing. All Group companies encourage professional growth and employee well-being through continuous training programs and initiatives supporting work-life balance, reflecting Excellera’s commitment to operating responsibly and with attention to people.
On the governance front, Excellera has strengthened its ethics and integrity model: all companies have a Model 231, share a Group Code of Ethics, and operate an integrated whistleblowing channel, ensuring transparency and confidentiality. Individual company Codes of Ethics define rules on fairness, conflicts of interest, and anti-money laundering. Thanks to these measures, in 2024 no reports of non-compliance or cases of corruption or fraud were recorded.
Environmental impact is also central to the strategy: although Excellera operates in a non-“high-intensive” sector with relatively low environmental impact compared to other industries, the Group has chosen to focus on energy consumption and related emissions, constantly monitoring usage, with approximately 55% of electricity purchased coming from certified renewable sources. In 2024, some offices were relocated to the Torre Velasca in Milan, recently upgraded with LEED Gold certification, demonstrating concrete attention to energy efficiency.
The report also pays wide attention to local community support activities carried out by the Group’s various companies. Through collaborations with organizations such as UNHCR Italy, Fondazione Dottor Sorriso, Pane Quotidiano Onlus, Opera San Francesco per i poveri Onlus, and other cultural and educational partners, Excellera contributes to promoting training projects, social inclusion, and awareness initiatives.
Paolo Zanetto, CEO of Excellera Advisory Group, stated: “We chose to publish this Report voluntarily and at Group level because we believe that sustainability is not only a duty but a strategic lever for a modern and responsible consulting model. It represents the entire Excellera Group while enhancing the strengths and expertise of each company, which – well before the Group was established – were already leading players in their respective sectors. It is a shared identity that preserves individual distinctiveness while bringing them together in a common, solid and transparent project – one that is increasingly international and innovative in delivering integrated, data-driven consulting solutions.”
